Community & Business Directory
The Chamber publishes a "magazine style" membership directory and community guide. In addition to providing helpful community information, member businesses are listed categorically and alphabetically. This piece is distributed to all Chamber members, to all potential members receiving a membership packet, at the 5 town halls of our primary service area, and at the Welcome and Information center at exit 1 on I-93.
Membership Roster/ Mailing Labels
Upon request, Chamber members can be provided with an electronic list of fellow Chamber members with their business contact information. For a nominal fee of $25.00 the Chamber can provide, to its members, the roster in the form of mailing labels.
Chamber Website
As a member, your business will be listed on our Chamber web-site in the on-line Directory. Perspective clients who use the Chamber site to locate goods or services, are able to search the directory using Company Name, Contact, or Key Descriptive Words to identify a member business that will fulfill their needs. The Chamber web-site also allows members to post any job opportunities their company made have.
Committee Opportunities
One of the best ways to get the most out of your Chamber membership is to get involved in a committee. There are several Chamber committees and they provide a diverse array of opportunities. The Chamber Committees include: Government Affairs, Economic Development, Membership, Ambassadors, Not-for Profit, Health Resources, Business Education Collaborative, Golf Tournament, Taste of Greater Salem, and Scholarship…just to name a few! Members are able to join and participate in any committee that meets their interests.
Monthly Newsletters - "Impact"
The Chamber publishes an outstanding monthly newsletter entitled The Chamber’s IMPACT. This publication provides event coverage, helpful business information, and regularly features member businesses’ news. It also showcases members in Business Spotlights and Member Profiles sections. For a nominal fee of $99, members are entitled to submit business inserts that the Chamber will distribute with the newsletter.
Business Card Board / Brochure Distribution
Members have their business cards displayed in the Business Card Boards located at the Chamber offices. These boards are also displayed in prominent locations at Chamber networking functions. Members are also welcome to display business brochures and literature at the Chamber office.
Event Sponsorship
Members are offered the opportunity to sponsor various Chamber events throughout the course of the year. This includes displaying their business banner at the event, an announcement of their sponsorship at the event, and mention of their sponsorship in all press releases and event coverage.
Referrals
The public often contacts the Chamber when they are looking for goods and services. As a Chamber member the office will gladly refer your business providing contact information and directing them to your website via the Chamber link.
Community TV – "Salem Chamber Today"
The Chamber produces a monthly television show for the local cable access channels. This half hour show provides updates on Chamber events, Committee activities, and spotlights a member business.

Chamber Raffles
The Chamber will gladly accept donations of raffle items from member business as prizes for our monthly Business After Hours events. This opportunity provides great visibility for your company at the events.
Ribbon Cutting
The Chamber will gladly attend a member’s ribbon cutting ceremonies. We will provide a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for your Grand Opening, or Special Anniversary Celebration. The Chamber will invite the local town officials and Chamber’s Board of Directors to attend the ceremony. Post event coverage is featured in our monthly newsletter and distributed to the local newspapers.
Media Coverage
The Chamber will assist members with press releases to area newspapers, local television, cable television and business magazines. In addition, the Chamber will assist members with invitations to media personnel for attendance at special events and business functions.
Business Services
As a Chamber member you are welcome to use the Chamber’s Conference room during regular Chamber business hours (M-F 9AM-2PM). Located at 224 North Broadway in Salem, the room provides a large conference table, coffee maker, and can accommodate up to 12 comfortably. The conference room is available on a “first come, first serve” basis and advanced booking with the Chamber office is requested.
Networking Opportunities
Monthly Networking Meeting - "Business After Hours"
Every month Chamber members, and their guests, are invited to gather for an evening of business networking. Business After Hours events are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month at various Chamber Member’s Businesses. People attending enjoy food, drinks, raffles and great opportunities to make connections that will help promote their business.
Quarterly New Member Reception
Four times a year, the Chamber provides warm welcoming receptions for its new members. In addition to refreshments and raffles, these special evenings feature: an introduction to the Chamber Board of Directors, information about Chamber committee opportunities, and (most importantly) introduction of new members and their businesses to the Chamber.
Annual Dinner
The Annual Dinner meeting introduces the Chamber’s New Board of Directors and officers that will guide the Chamber for the ensuing year. The “Bill Brown Business Person of the Year Award”, “Chairman’s Award“, and the “Dick Landry Volunteer of the Year Award” are presented during the evening events.
Taste of Greater Salem
Enjoy an evening of sampling great food graciously provided by local area restaurants and caterers. This event is a great opportunity for any business in the food industry to showcase their culinary expertise. This event is open to the public and always sells out!
Holiday Open House
Come enjoy your Chamber as we celebrate the Holiday Season. This is a fun evening for all with refreshments, prizes and holiday cheer. Attend this affair, held annually at the Chamber Office, and meet with your fellow Chamber members and Chamber staff.
Southern NH Golf Classic
The annual golf tournament provides a great opportunity to gain exposure for your business in Southern NH. Advertise your company, network and work on your game in a day of fun and prizes. This event is run in conjunction with the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, and provides an extended networking opportunity.
