Mission : To foster opportunities for the Chamber membership to exchange insights and gain influence with those members of the government who have the authority to enact change affecting the business community
 

The Government Affairs Committee offers informational programs to the Chamber membership and the community at large on matters of interest, which can impact the business climate of the Greater Salem area.   The committee schedules events at which a variety of town, community, state, and even national officials and business leaders are invited to share their thoughts with Chamber members.   Regional programs may be co-hosted with the Chamber of Commerce of a neighboring community as well.   The Government Affairs Committee hosts several televised speaking engagements and forums annually, responding to political and topical events affecting the Greater Salem business community.   We welcome members to join our committee.
