  • Compliance Analyst

    Summary:
    Assist the Compliance Officer with ensuring the Bank is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This position will conduct periodic testing of the Bank's compliance programs by monitoring a variety of operational and lending functions subject to state and federal requirements.
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, or annual reviews of Bank policies and procedures. 
    • Coordinates with various departments within the Bank to resolve any inconsistencies in HMDA data and recommends changes as warranted to ensure the accuracy of the data. 
    • Provides support in the review of the HMDA-LAR prior to submission.
    •  Assists in managing risk across all business lines. 
    • Assists in evaluating policies, procedures, processes, and systems with respect to evaluating and controlling risk. 
    • Performs compliance reviews and monitoring, Reports on findings 
    • Compile documents for related exams, audits, and reviews. 
    • Coordinates and follow-up of trainings assigned to Bank’s employees.  Assists the Compliance Officer with planning and conducting compliance training. 
    • Maintain files and documentation. 
    • Increase and maintain the expected level of consumer compliance knowledge, as well as selected other laws and regulations as assigned. 
    • Exercises initiative and judgment in researching, analyzing and problem solving. 
    • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies as stated in Bank’s Code of Conduct.  
    • Complete required training including regulatory, systems and others as required by the supervisor based on job duties within the requested time periods. 
    • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. 
    Job Qualifications:
    • A college degree, preferably a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • One to three years experience testing and monitoring for compliance to federal and state regulations for financial institutions and compliance bank functions.
    • Compliance and/or auditing experience with federal and state regulations preferred.
    • Thorough understanding of consumer compliance regulations applicable to financial institutions.
    • Must be detail oriented, computer literate; possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Ability to interact within all levels of the Bank.
    • Must possess a good work ethic and attention to detail.
