About Us
The Salem Area Woman’s Club is a nonprofit organization that is part of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs in New Hampshire (GFWC-NH).
The Club’s mission is to serve the greater Salem area by getting involved in all aspects of conservation, civic engagement, arts & culture, health & wellness, and international outrage.
The organization was founded in 1926 and currently has 62 members and meets the first Tuesday of the month at Centerpoint Community Church from 12:15-1:30pm.
Centerpoint is the exact center of Salem, NH. The meeting location symbolizes the engagement that the Salem Area Woman’s Club has with the community around them.
These types of community service acts reflect the Salem Area Woman’s Club’s object to “Broaden and strengthen the moral, social, and intellectual life of it’s members and through them to make itself a power for good in the community”.
The club has a list of local, statewide, national, and international projects that they are involved in. Some of these include End 68 hours of hunger, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Wreaths Across America, and Operation Smile.
The passionate group of women in the Salem Area Woman’s Club come together to make a difference in their community and to strive in changing the world for the better.
